Why Developers Need Aerial 3D

Ground-level shots sell the design. Aerial renderings sell the location, the scale, and the ultimate ROI of the property.

01

Sell the Location, Not Just the Building

Real estate is about location. An aerial rendering is the only way to prove to an investor or buyer that your property truly is just steps from the ocean, nestled in a dense forest, or perfectly positioned in the downtown financial district.

02

Streamline Zoning & City Approvals

City planners and zoning boards are notoriously strict about how new developments impact the surrounding neighborhood. A highly accurate aerial composite removes the guesswork and proves your project fits seamlessly into the community.

03

Establish Unmatched Sense of Scale

When you are selling a 50-acre commercial park or a sprawling luxury estate, ground-level cameras cannot capture the true value of the land. Aerials provide the macro-perspective necessary to justify high-ticket valuations.

We use them for all our 3D floorplans. It makes the listings pop and helps buyers understand the flow of the home before it's built.

3D Aerial & Drone FAQs

Crucial information for drone pilots, site planners, and developers regarding aerial composites.

We typically work with the high-resolution drone photos you or your local pilot provide. If you do not have a drone pilot, let us know! We can often help coordinate with a licensed, professional drone operator in your specific city.
It depends entirely on the project scale. For a single-family home or small commercial plaza, an altitude of 40 to 80 feet is usually perfect. For massive master-planned communities or high-rise context shots, the pilot may need to fly between 200 and 400 feet.
Yes. While a real high-resolution drone photograph always yields the most photorealistic result, we can utilize 3D topography data and satellite imagery to build a fully computer-generated (CGI) aerial environment for your project if a drone flight is impossible.
Because aerials require rendering massive amounts of geometry (hundreds of trees, neighboring buildings, and extensive road networks), they take slightly longer than a standard ground-level shot. A typical drone composite takes 5 to 7 days, while a full 100-acre CGI master plan may take 2 to 3 weeks.
